DRIVER OF THE
YEAR
The `Driver of the Year` award is
sponsored by Volvo Trucks Canada, and recognizes all
around distinction in driving:
courtesy, safety, and community activity.
The Atlantic award is selected by the APTA Safety Council from
nominations
submitted by the individual trucking
companies. The driver of the year for this region then goes
on to the national level,
where the country`s national driver of the year
is chosen.

SAFETY TO MOTOR
TRANSPORTATION
The `Safety to Motor Transport`
award, sponsored by Markel Insurance Company of Canada, is
awarded to an individual
who is actively involved in promoting road safety
in the trucking industry.

DISPATCHER OF THE
YEAR
The `Dispatcher of the Year` award,
sponsored by Shaw Tracking, goes to the dispatcher,
who is defined as any person,
whether called a Fleet Manager, Traffic
Co-ordinator or any other title, who deals directly with drivers
and is involved in
the co-ordinating of the movement of
trucks.
