The APTA has been in place for over 50 years and we represent the stakeholders by being the voice of the road transport industry in Atlantic Canada.  More than 300 commercial carriers, brokers, owner-operators and associated trades belong to our association.  Along with that, we are an effective lobby, advocacy organization, dedicated to the continued growth and strength of our industry. Individually and collectively, our members benefit from a wide range of services we provide, from training and networking to raising the industry’s profile and developing relationships with government officials for positive change.

Weekly information on current issues/opportunities and their impact on the industry;
APTA's newsletter provides timely industry news.  A complete listing is available on our website.  Members receive advance notification of this publication and receive it free of charge.

Every year, APTA hosts a number of seminars, conventions, summit and workshops around the region.  These include APTA's bi-annual Truck Maintenance Conference, bi-annual Transportation Summit, bi-annual Truck Show, Truck Driving Competitions, and other seminars on different industry related topics.  Members receive discounted rates on fees for these events.

Information Requests
The APTA staffs handle dozens of requests every week from members and media throughout the Atlantic.  Members use information provided by the APTA.  The type of information includes general industry data, regulation changes, reports and publications.  Members are encouraged to use this service to their benefit.
 
Sponsorship Opportunities
There are opportunities to sponsor APTA conferences, events and publications throughout the year.  High profile events such as our bi-annual Truck Show and Summit are examples of sponsorship opportunities, which are offered to members first.
