2012 ~ SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTION
Starting and ending dates of the load restrictions period may be adjusted
depending on weather conditions.
 
March 4 (12:01am) - Southern NB
March 11 (12:01am) - Northern NB - Northumberland, Gloucester, Restigouche, Madawaska and Victoria counties, Route 108 within York County, Gordon Vale Road and Holtville Road within York County, Bloomfield Ridge Road between Holtville Road and Route 625, Route 625 between Gordon Vale Road and Route 8.
 
March 5 (12:01am) - Yarmouth, Digby, Annapolis, Queens, Kings, Shelburne, Lunenburg, Halifax and Hants counties
March 7 (12:01am) - Cumberland, Colchester, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, Victoria, Inverness and Cape Breton counties

Eel River Crossing - Eel River Bridge #2, in Eel River Crossing, Restigouche County, will be closed from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, from Wednesday February 8 until Tuesday, February 24.  The Bridge will be open on weekends.
 
McFarlane Covered Bridge - Located on Ward's Creek Road near Sussex, will be closed starting February 13 for about 4 weeks.

INVERNESS COUNTY: The Point Cross Bridge on the Cabot Trail, south of Cheticamp, is closed to traffic during the replacement of the bridge.

A four kilometre detour using Le Forte Road, Cheticamp Back Road, and Redman Road is available. Drivers should use extra caution in the construction area.

Work is scheduled for completion by the end of June.

CERES TERMINAL
 
CERES PARKING LOT
- Ceres parking lot is being extensively utilized as a drop off for chassis/chassis containers, in essence being used as a personal parking facility!
 
- Effective Immediately this practice must cease.   Overnight parking of cargo for delivery to Ceres the next morning is the ONLY acceptable exception to this rule.
 
- Commencing January 1st, 2012 King Pin Locks will be attached to violators chassis, rendering the unit inoperable.
 
-Removal of teh Pin Locks necessitates contacting the Terminal Superintendents at 902-453-4590 during regular working hours only!
 
- A surcharge of $50.00, paybable to Cerescorp Company, is required prior to removal of the Pin Lock

Truck Gate Hours are reduced to:
08h00 to 17h00   Monday through Friday
The Tuesday 18h00 to 22h00 hours of operation is being suspended.

HALTERM TERMINAL  
ATTENTION ALL TRUCKING COMPANIES:
Due to and increase in truckers arriving at our gate without proper PPE clothing please forward the following guidelines to your truckers.
 
ALL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING MUST BE MAINTAINED TO CSA STANDARDS.
 
Safety Vests - All truckers in all locations shall wear an approved safety vest with high visibility reflective striping on the front and back and/or other clothing equipped with high-visibility reflective striping on front and back.
 
Protective Footwear - All truckers in all locations shall wear protective footwear with slip resistant soles meeting the CSA standard-green triangle.

Halterm Container Terminal to reopen on Mondays starting December 5th 2011.  The Gatehouse will be open for truck traffic, and the terminal will be in full operations (announced, November 29, 2011)
 
Starting AUGUST 22, 2011 all truckers stepping out of their truck on the terminals are required to wear their steel toe safety footwear and PPE clothing, no matter what job they are performing on the terminal.
